THE CHALLENGE

Visual artists often struggle to support themselves based solely on their income gained from their trade. Taking into account that the cost of living in Toronto is steadily increasing, artists are faced with this harsher reality.

OUTCOMES:

  • Defining problem space.

  • Initial research including user
    questionnaires & secondary research.

  • Design strategy – Assumptions, insights, hand sketches, wire-frames and hi-fi mock ups.

  • Execution of mobile app design & web-responive marketing page concepts.

PROCESS

The research stage is key in developing a solution for users that would addresses this problem space. User questionnaires are held to find insights that help to develop personas and create journey maps. This helps to develop the users story including their thoughts, emotions and pain-points. The aim is to use this exploration to focus on target moments that would assist with creating a user-flow for the product.

Low fidelity sketches are created to ideate possible solutions for the user flow.

Hi-fidelity mockups are created to design the prototype.

USER FLOW & PROTOTYPE

After completing the initial research, sketches and prototype design, the user-flow needs to be mapped out.  This user story creates a scenario that best described how a user makes their way successfully through the product in order to achieve their predicted goal.
